The After School Program is designed for children attending K - 6th grade. Participants enjoy group activities that are conducted in a supervised structured manner. Our goal is to provide a safe & fun environment that will enrich your child's life. The After School Program is held in the gyms of the Lake Havasu Unified School District's elementary schools. Times are: Monday - Wednesday and Friday from 2:30 - 6:00 p.m. and 1:00-5:30 p.m. every Thursday. Program offers homework & tutoring time, crafts, indoor and outdoor activities as well as field trips to the Aquatic Center, Havasu Lanes and the movie theatre. Fishing, snorkeling, kayaking and archery are offered for 3rd - 6th graders and performing arts for all grades. Afternoon snack will be provided.
Program dates are as follows:
August 10th - September 11th (5 weeks): $137.50 1st child; $87.49 for each addtional child
September 14th - October 9th (4 weeks): $110.00 1st child; $69.99 for each addtional child
October 12th - October 16th Fall Break - No Program
October 19th - November 13th (4 weeks): $110.00 1st child; $69.99 for each additional child
November 16th - December 18th (5 weeks) :$137.50 1st chidl; $87.49 for each additional child
Wee Play in the Park
Wee Play in the Park is an outdoor social and educational fun opportunity for preschool ages 2 -5 years. Children will enjoy an hour of activities designed to increase movement and motor skill ability. Parent must be present on site to assist their participant. Program will be held at Rotary Community Park in the grass area near Ramada A. Registration fee is $20.00 and sessions are limited to 12 participants.
Session 1: September 8th through October 1st on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:00 - 10:00 a.m.
Kidzart is a drawing based class that is complimented with projects and several types of medium. We offer a safe, non-competitive enviornment with a philosophy that mistakes are okay. We promote problem solving and focus exercise and techniques to relax through art. Program is for children enrolled in Pre-Kindergarten through 6th grade. Program will be held at Starline Elementary School on Thursdays.

Session 2 10/22-12/3 (no class on 11/26)
Discover Pre-K/Kindergarten (4-5 years) : 3:25 - 4:25 p.m.
Imagine 1st - 3rd Grade: 2:20 - 3:20 p.m.

Cost is $60 plus a $12 material fee.
Flag Football is for participants enrolled in 1st - 6th grade. Practices will be held 2 evenings per week. Locations and times will vary due to volunteer coaches availability. Games will be held on Saturday mornings at Starline Elementary School October 10th through November 21st. Cost is $50 which includes a t-shirt and end of season trophy. Registration will begin on August 17th.
This program is for children enrolled in 1st - 6th grade. Program will hold practice 2 evenings per week. Cheer team will cheer at the Recreation Flag Football games held on Saturday mornings at Starline Elementary School October 10th - November 21st. Cost is $50 which includes a t-shirt and pom poms. Registration will begin on August 17th.
Sessions will teach the fundamentals of tennis to participants. Participants will need to bring a tennis racket and wear tennis shoes to each class. Classes will be held on Mondays and Wednesdays at the Lake Havasu High School Tennis Courts. Cost is $80.00

Fall Fun Fair
October 17th from 3-8 p.m. at Rotary Park

There will be game booths, food vendors and fun for the entire family. This fun filled day helps benefit our local non-profit organziations who participate.
Youth Talent Show
The annual Youth Talent Show will be held on October 22nd on the Chamber of Commerce Stage (on the island at London Bridge Beach). Join us at 6 p.m. for an evening of entertainment and please remember to bring your own chairs. Age groups for entry vary from 1-18 years. Participants may only enter 1 of the following categories: musical, instrumental, drama, comedy, dance and magic (no more than 4 participants per act). There will be a two minute time limit for each talent. Awards will be given for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. Registration will begin on September 28th and can be completed at the Aquatic Center. Music must be submitted at time of registration.
October 24th & 25th from 11 a.m. - 5p.m.
In the dirt parking lot on the corner of Hwy 95 and Park Ave.
Cost: $5 each; Children 3 and under are free
