After School Program

The After School Program is designed for children attending K-6th grade. Participants enjoy group activities that are conducted in a supervised, structured manner. Our goal si to provide a safe & fun environment that will enrich your child's life. The After School Program is held in the gyms of the Lake Havasu Unified School District's elementary schools. Times are Monday-Wednesday and Friday from 2:30-6pm and Thursday from 1-5:30pm The After School Program offers homework time, crafts, sports, fishing program, snorkeling, kayaking as well as indoor and outdoor activities. There will be set aside each afternoon for snack.

Below are the session dates due for the fall semester.

November 18th - December 20th (5 weeks): $125/1st child; $75 each additional child in the  

      same family

Winter Break Camp

Winter Break Camp is designed for children attending Kindergarten through 6th grade.  Participants enjoy group activities that are conducted in a supervised structured manner.  Camp will be held at the Aquatic Center in the Relics and Rods Hall.  Winter Break Camp will be offered December 22nd - December 26th and December 29th - January 2nd on Monday, Tuesday, and Friday from 7:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. and Wednesday from 7:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. each week.  Participants will need to bring their own lunch.  Field Trips will include swimming, bowling, movies and play in the park.  Registration is currently being accepted. Cost is $60 per participant; per week. 

3rd - 6th Basketball

Program is open to boys and girls in 3rd - 6th grade interested in learning the fundamentals of basketball.  Practices will be 2 evenings a week beginning the week of January 5th.  Locations and times will vary due to volunteer coaches availability.  Games will be held on Friday evening and Saturday mornings (if necessary).  Fee is $50 per participant.  Registration fee includes t-shirt and end of season trophy. 

Kidzart

Kidzart is a nationally recognized art enrichment program that provides a safe, creative and fun environment. Art is an important part of every child's education that spills into their life and study. We foster creative thinking and self confidence. Kidzart meets and exceeds all  the national standars and is a great compliment to any daytime "core" art program. With kidzart we bring out the artist in you. Program is instructed by Kidzart owner Rachelle Campbell. Program is for children enrolled in pre-K through High School level. Please contact us for session dates and times.

Tennis

Sessions will teach the fundamentals of tennis. Participants will need to bring a tennis racket and wear tennis shoes to each class. Classes are held at the Lake Havasu High School Tennis Courts. Cost si $80 per participant; per session.

Session 3 11/11 through 12/15

5-6 year olds will meet on Mondays and Wednesdays 5:45-6:30pm

7-12 year olds will meet on Mondays and Wednesdays 6:30-7:30pm


Community Christmas Dinner will be held on Friday, December 19th @ 6 p.m. in the Relics & Rods Hall at the Aquatic Center.  Donations are currenlty being accepted.  Please contact us at 453-8686 for more information. 

 

Children's Christmas Party

Celebrate the Joy of Giving on Saturday, December 13th. The annual Children's Christmas Party will take place from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. on the ballfields at Rotary Park. Admission is free with the donation of a non-perishable food item or toy. All items will be donated to the LHC Food Bank. Free refreshments will be available. Hot dogs will provided courtesy of BASHA's Market. Event will have arts & crafts, inflatables and an opportunity to visit with Santa!

Contract Class Instructors Wanted!!!
If you have the experience, skills and patience needed to teach others, we want you! We are currently looking for qualified, motivated and professional contract instructors to teach a variety of youth and adult classes. We are committed to providing leisure and educational opportunities that promote personal well-being while enriching the lives of this community. If you have a way with people and a flair for arts, crafts, cooking, dance or any other specialty class, then we recommend you share your talent and become a contract instructor.
