Board of Adjustment

The Lake Havasu City Board of Adjustment hears appeals when there is an alleged error in any order, requirement, or decision made by the zoning administrator.

The Board of Adjustment also hears requests for variances from the terms of the zoning code because of special circumstances applicable to the property, including its size, shape, topography, location, or surroundings, where the strict application of the code would deprive such property of privileges enjoyed by other property in the same zoning district.

Another duty of the Board of Adjustment is to hear appeals by persons aggrieved, or by any officer, department, board or bureau of municipality affected by a decision of the zoning administrator.
