ENGINEERING

The Engineering Division reviews and approves commercial water and all sewer service applications. As part of this process we verify for customers whether or not a lot is to be connected to the sewer system or not. The Engineering Division also verifies if proposed construction is located in an area that is under contract for sewer expansion. If so, the applicant is contacted and notified that sewer will be available within 9-12 months. The applicant is given the choice to either wait for sewer service prior to the certificate of occupancy is issued or to install an onsite system that will be abandoned once the sewer system expansion reaches their lot at which time they are required to tie-in to sewer.

Public Bids are generally advertised one month prior to the bid due date (for four consecutive days) in Lake Havasu City's local newspaper, Today's News Herald. Contact Public Works Administration at 928-453-6660 for information on how to obtain plans and specifications, along with current fees.
