HOME SAFETY/BABYSITTING SKILLS

Student Requirements: Student must be going into either 5^th, 6^th, 7^th or 8^th grade

Parent/guardian must pre-register student

Non-refundable fee of $10.00

Fee payment required at time of registration

Registration will be held Monday through Thursday during the weeks of May 5^th – 8^th and May 12^th – 15^th from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Fire Station #1, 96 Acoma Blvd. S.

The seminar is 16 hours long, over a four (4) day period. Topics covered in the seminar are first aid/rescue breathing, Heimlich maneuver, kitchen/bathroom safety, water safety, stranger danger, childcare and will include a backpack, magnetic memo board, tub temperature tester, babysitting/home safety book, certificate of completion and a business card.

Class weeks to choose from: June: 2^nd - 5^th or 9^th - 12^th or 16^th - 19^th or 23^rd - 26^th

July: 7^th - 10^th or 14^th - 17^th or 21^st - 24^th or 28^th - 31^st

Class hours: 8:00 am – 12:00 noon (16 hour course)

Location: Fire station #1, 96 Acoma Blvd. S.
