8.. Discussion Items and Possible Action

Storage of Aircraft for Revenue – Airport Manager Steve Johnston reported that he had continued research on aircraft storage, talking to a representative of Kingman Municipal Airport with Chairman George Molitor, and discussions with Victorville and Mojave Spaceport. Project appears viable but security requirements, satellite operations and salvage operations require further study.

Security – No issues reported

Airport Preliminary Budget Fiscal Year 2010/2011 – Mr. Johnston stated budget challenges and options will be presented to the Finance Department on February 19, 2010 for review on March 2-3, 2010 by the City Manager and Department heads. The City Council will act on the operating budget of all departments at work sessions on May 4, 2010, and May 18, 2010, with tentative adoption and final adoption scheduled in June.
