On August 28, 2016, the Lake Havasu City Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Unit conducted a child molestation investigation after the police department was notified of unlawful sexual activity involving an 8-year old female and the child’s caretaker. Detectives conducted a forensic interview with the victim who disclosed she was inappropriately touched multiple times over the last several days.

As a result of the investigation 58-year old Michael Lane was arrested for child molestation and indecent exposure.  During his initial appearance, Lane was held on no bond and transferred to the custody of the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office.
