On August 13, 2016, three Lake Havasu City Police employees received a promotion. Lieutenant Troy Stirling promoted to the rank of Captain, Sergeant Kirk Cesena promoted to the rank of Lieutenant, and Corporal Mark Doyle promoted to the rank of Sergeant.

Captain Stirling began his law enforcement career in 1994 with the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office as a Deputy. He has been with the Lake Havasu City Police Department since 1997 serving as a Patrol Officer, Detective, Criminal Investigations Unit Sergeant, Patrol Sergeant, Professional Standards Bureau Sergeant, Support Services Lieutenant, and Commander of the Western Arizona Law Enforcement Training Academy. 

Lieutenant Cesena began his law enforcement career in 2006 serving as a Patrol Officer, Street Crimes Unit Officer, Corporal, Patrol Sergeant, and Professional Standards Bureau Sergeant.

Sergeant Mark Doyle began his career with the Lake Havasu City Police Department in 1995 serving as a Patrol Officer, Special Investigations Unit Detective, and Corporal.
