Police to Host Parent Internet Safety Class

The Lake Havasu City Police Department will host a two-hour internet safety lab for parents who want to monitor the internet usage of their children. With assistance from Vice-Mayor Margaret Nyberg and Thunderbolt Middle School, the class will be held on Thursday December 6, 2007, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Thunderbolt Middle School, 695 Thunderbolt Avenue.

The class will consist of basic internet safety and awareness, basic web browser usage, and a question and answer period. Investigators will also share information on various commercially available internet monitoring software programs. The class will be held in the school computer lab and is limited to 30 seats.
