Lake Havasu City Police Department to Host A Child is Missing Alert Program

Lake Havasu City Police Chief Dan Doyle has announced plans to host training for area law enforcement agencies in “A Child is Missing Alert Program.”

On Monday, September 17, 2007 at 10:00 a.m., A Child is Missing, Inc., a national non-profit organization that assists law enforcement in the first hours of a child disappearance, is scheduled to launch its Alert Program and conduct a training session at the Lake Havasu City Police Department, 2360 McCulloch Blvd.

A press conference at 10:00 am will start the training session.

The A Child is Missing Alert Program is a telephone-based program used to locate missing children, the elderly (often with Alzheimer’s), disabled individuals, and college students who go missing from campus by notifying the community via telephone alert calls. To date this program has assisted in the safe recovery of over 280 missing persons across the country.
