House Fire on Emerald Lane
On Monday, December 31, 2007, at 8:20 a.m., the
Lake Havasu City Fire Department responded to the 1800 block of Emerald Lane
for a residential fire. Four engine companies, one truck company and a
battalion chief responded to the house fire. Police officers assisted the
occupants on getting out of the house. Firefighters also rescued a wheelchair-bound
occupant and gave her medical assistance. No firefighters were injured. The
fire was brought under control within 27 minutes. The cause of the fire was an
unattended candle and damages are estimated at $30,000.
