Junior Lifeguards Fundraiser Saturday

Lake Havasu Parks and Recreation Department’s Junior Guards program is hosting a car wash, bake sale and raffle this Saturday, July 7 to raise funds for a field trip to Sea World in San Diego.

This event will take place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Aquatic/Community Center, 100 Park Avenue. Raffle prizes include free swim passes, free food from local restaurants and many other valuable goods and services provided by local businesses.

Junior Guards are 9 to 15-year old boys and girls who join the program to learn basic water safety skills, including First Aid and CPR. Junior Guards also have the opportunity to ‘shadow’ working lifeguards to gain useful observation and preparedness skills that enhance their overall development.
