Citizens Invited to Tour Public Works Facilities
In
recognition of National Public Works Week (May 21–25), the Lake Havasu City
Public Works Department is hosting bus tours of the City’s most significant
public works facilities for interested citizens. A 15-passenger bus will load at 8:30 a.m. Monday,
May 21 in the parking lot at City Hall, 2330 McCulloch Boulevard North. Additional tours will be conducted at 10
a.m., 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. The riding
tour takes about 75 minutes as riders receive information from their guides
while being transported between six major facilities:
· Mulberry
Avenue Wastewater Reclamation Facility
· The Island
Wastewater Reclamation Facility
· Ranney
Collector Municipal Water Well
· Port Drive
Drinking Water Filter Plant
· Public
Works Maintenance Facility
· North
Regional Wastewater Reclamation Facility (under construction)
The tour
is free to all interested citizens; however, seating is limited and
reservations are required. For more
