Havasu Area Transit (HAT) is announcing the “Splash Express” will provide summer bus service to and from the Aquatic Center beginning May 29. The new stop will be on HAT’s “Purple Route,” arriving at the Aquatic Center 11 minutes after departing the Uptown Transfer Station every hour on the half hour from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturdays. There is no public transit service on Sundays and national holidays. Return trips to the Transfer Station will depart the Aquatic Center every hour at 10 minutes after the hour between 12:10 p.m. and 4:10 p.m. weekdays, and between 12:10 p.m. and 5:10 p.m. Saturdays. The Splash Express schedule coincides with expanded summer hours for open swim, from noon to 4 p.m. weekdays and noon to 5 p.m. Saturdays.
“We are pleased to offer this new service to provide
transportation for kids and adults who want to beat the summer heat at the
Aquatic Center,” said transit services manager Gary Parsons. “Now you can get on a bus at any one of fifty
stops in the city or Desert Hills, and arrive at the Aquatic Center in about 40
minutes or less, and for just a dollar.”
Parsons added that there is no additional charge to transfer between
routes. Other stops on the

Splash Express riders 17 years and under will also receive $2.00 off the price of admission to the Aquatic Center.
Riders must be 10 years or older to ride alone. Children under 10 years must be accompanied and supervised by a rider over 10 years of age. Please, no wet bathing suits are to be worn on the bus. Shirts and shoes are required.
