LAKE HAVASU CITY HONORS PEARL HARBOR REMEMBRANCE DAY
December 03, 2025
Lake Havasu City, in collaboration with the USS Arizona Relic Committee, led by Marine Corps League Detachment #757, invites the public to a heartfelt Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day ceremony scheduled this Sunday, December 7, 2025, at 8:00 a.m., located at London Bridge Beach Park, near the flagpoles. This event commemorates the 84th Anniversary of Pearl Harbor Day and includes a short ceremony and viewing of the USS Arizona relic beginning at 8:10 a.m., which marks the time the USS Arizona was attacked.
Out of respect for the USS Arizona as a National Memorial, Congress authorized the Navy to donate pieces of the battleship to non-profit veteran and education organizations so that the public may honor the civilians and military service members who lost their lives on that tragic morning, as well as those who survived and fought with great honor and bravery on that fateful day, defending the people and principles of our nation.
The Marine Corps League Detachment #757 acquired the 4-foot by 6-foot, 520-pound relic, which was taken from the aft deckhouse of the USS Arizona's superstructure, and took charge of protecting and displaying the relic gifted to our hometown. The committee's goal is to house the relic at London Bridge Beach at the site of this ceremony through fundraising and in-kind donations.

We encourage you to join us at this event to demonstrate your support for these great Americans.

To inquire about monetary and in-kind donations to house the relic, please contact Brian Springberg at the e-mail address below.
