STREET SEALING PROGRAM POSTPONED

The Lake Havasu City Street Maintenance Division has postponed street sealing activities pending completion of storm cleanup activities. When street sealing activities resume later this month in the El Dorado area north of Palo Verde South, crews will apply plastic fog seal beginning at 8 a.m. each morning and continue until approximately 3 p.m. Flyers advising residents which side of their street will be sealed will be distributed at least one day in advance.

Work crews will apply fog seal material to one side of the street at a time. Signs and traffic control devices will be in place to identify driving lanes and access to intersections and businesses. Driving through fresh seal onto a driveway and any turning movements across fresh seal should be avoided for at least three to four hours.

Residents are asked to not park on the street the day their side of the street is scheduled to be sealed. Residents are also requested to not allow water to run onto the street within 24 hours prior to the scheduled sealing.

As always, the public is requested to use caution and obey all traffic signs when traveling through construction zones.
