Lake Havasu City Parks & Recreation Summer Camps
It
is that time again to start thinking about registration for Summer Camps with
the Lake Havasu City Parks & Recreation Department.
Registration for all camps
opens May 21.
Sunshine Day Camp
– June 4 – July 20 Open to campers
kindergarten through fourth grade (or have turned 5 years old prior to June 4,
2007). Sunshine Camp is held at Nautilus
Elementary, Oro Grande, Jamaica and Smoketree Elementary Schools. Sunshine Camp provides a variety of
activities, field trips, swimming, bowling, water days, movies, and much
more. Registration fee is $120 per child
and $90 for each additional child in the same family. Fee is $75 for campers attending summer
school at Smoketree Elementary. Space is
limited and early registration is advised.
Camp
Iwannago is held at Daytona Middle School. Registration fee is $120 per child and $90
for each additional child in the same family.
Teen Adventure Sports
Camp – Session I - June 11 – June 29 & Session
II - July 9 – July 19. Open to teens
grades six through nine. Teen Adventure Sports Camp is held at Lake Havasu High
School. Registration fee is $300 for Session
I (includes YMCA Surf Camp in San Diego), and $200 for Session II (includes day
trip to Knott’s Berry Farm). Both
sessions include a kayaking day trip.
Teens will have opportunities to get involved with numerous activities,
sports classes, water activities, dance, bowling, movies and more. Space
is limited to 80 participants per session.
Registration for all camps
opens May 21.
Register at the Aquatic Center, 5 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, 12
p.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, and 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday.
