Commemorative Tree/Bench Dedication Celebrates 20 Years

The Lake Havasu City Parks & Recreation Department and the Keep Havasu Beautiful Committee are co-hosting a dedication for all trees and benches purchased through the Commemorative Tree/Bench Program.

This event acknowledges donors of 20 trees and four benches purchased between April 1 and September 1, 2007. The ceremony will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, October 13, at Wheeler Park, located at 1801 McCulloch Boulevard (near Kmart).

A tree with an accompanying plaque may be purchased through the Commemorative Tree/Bench Program for $200. Benches are available for $611.44 and the bench plaque is $150. Price includes 40 characters on the plaque and additional characters are 50 cents each. All trees are already planted and available at the following locations: Municipal Airport, City Hall, Police Facility, Fire Station #1, SARA Park, Smoketree walkway, Island ball field, Realtor Park, Rotary Community Park and London Bridge Road.
