Special Activities and Recreation Area (SARA) Park is a county leased recreation area that is truly a sports lovers paradise. SARA Park is a regional park located at 7260 S. SARA Park Way, 5 miles south of town. This 1,100 acre park offers a variety of recreational opportunities including softball and baseball fields, a raceway, hiking trails, a BMX track, an area to fly model airplanes, and a shooting range. This park is a great place for exercising or just enjoying the day!
Dog Park
The SARA Park dog Park is a local hot spot for the pooches. This 2-acre dog park features a fenced area both for small dogs and big dogs. With it's grass area, two walking paths (one approximately 1/10 mile and the other approximately 1/5 mile), and 10 covered benches, this park is a bonding spot for both humans and man's best friend.
In-Line Skating
In-Line Hockey is back in Lake Havasu City and it could not be in a better location than SARA Park. Hockey is fast paced, great exercise and lots of fun for the whole family to watch and play. Lake Havasu Hockey League offers Youth (4 yrs. -16 yrs.) and Adult (17 yrs. and up) hockey teams. We can teach you how to skate, stick handle, and the skills of hockey. The season runs from October to May and we offer in-house teams as well as travel teams. If you are interested in this exciting sport please call 727-PUCK.
