Why did it take an hour for an officer to come out to my house when my house was burglarized?

When a citizen calls and requests a police officer, the call is prioritized based on the nature of the call and the number of personnel on duty. The highest priority calls are life-threatening situations. The lowest priority is to take a report after a crime has occurred and there are no suspects on scene. The response time for a high priority call is less than 5 minutes citywide. The response time for low priority calls can be an hour. Also, if you call at high call volume times (3pm-10pm) the response time can be longer.

What do I do if there is a drug house on my street?

First, call the Lake Havasu City Police Department at (928) 855-1171 and ask for a narcotic officer. If a narcotic officer is not available, please leave a message, one will return your call as soon as possible. You may also call silent witness at 854-TIPS (8477). Your name isn't necessary, but actually talking to an investigator will greatly increase the ability to solve a crime. Second, document the car traffic to and from the house. Get descriptions of the vehicle and license numbers. Record when the cars come and go and how long they stay. Save this information because it can be very useful to the detectives.
