MISSION STATEMENT

It is our mission to provide efficient and safe public streets, storm drainage, sanitary sewer, high quality drinking water, facility maintenance services, and competent City fleet management services. This is accomplished through cost-effective planning, designing, construction, operating, and maintaining of public facilities and physical assets. Also to be recognized as an important resource in developing and designing Community Investment Programs, reviewing and inspecting private development and maintaining existing facilities to successfully meet the needs of our community.

PURPOSE

The Lake Havasu City Department of Public Works, with its 158 employees, manages the planning, design, construction, operation, and maintenance of all City-owned public infrastructures. The department is organized into five divisions that include: Administration, Engineering, Wastewater, Water, and Transportation. The current operating budget is approximately $22,645,000 with an additional $133,776,725 allocated to capital projects.
