Imagine a Day Without Water Tour-October 10
September 25, 2018

Join your Lake Havasu City Water Conservation Specialist on a tour to learn about the value of our water supply in Lake Havasu City on Monday, Wednesday, October 10. The “Value of Water Campaign” hosts one day every year called “Imagine a Day Without Water” in which cities, organizations, and businesses are challenged to educate the public about the importance and value of water in their community.

On the tour, citizens learn where our water comes from, how we treat it to be safe and clean to drink, and lastly, how we treat wastewater after it goes down the drain. More importantly, citizens will learn about the scarcity of our water supply, and why water conservation is such a hot-button topic in all areas of the World, and especially, right here in Lake Havasu City.

The tour will consist of visiting the City’s Horizontal Collector Well, Water Treatment Plant, and lastly, the Wastewater Treatment Plant. This opens the opportunity for citizens to educate themselves on our water supply, ask any questions they may have regarding water, and gain an in-depth view of City operations. Without water, Lake Havasu City would cease to be the wonderful city it is today, and without water conservation and conscious efforts, Lake Havasu City citizens may “Imagine a Day Without Water.”
