Man Arrested for Child Abuse and Neglect

On January 11, 2018, at approximately 9:40 p.m., the Lake Havasu City Police and Fire Departments responded to the 2800 block of Appletree Drive for a report of a 2-year-old female who was not breathing.  The child was immediately transported to Havasu Regional Medical Center.  Based on the circumstances and initial observations, detectives with the Lake Havasu City Police Department Criminal Investigations Unit responded to conduct an investigation. 

As a result of the investigation, 21-year-old Lake Havasu City resident and father of the 2-year-old, Andrew J. Lamorie, was arrested and charged with child abuse per domestic violence, aggravated assault per domestic violence, child neglect, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.  The 2-year-old child was transported to a hospital out of the area and remains in critical condition with life-threatening injuries.   The investigation is ongoing.  

During his initial appearance, Andrew J. Lamorie was held on a $1,000,000 bond and transferred to the custody of the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office.
