On September 12, 2021, at approximately 4:10 p.m. the Lake Havasu City Police Department was notified of an airplane crash at the Lake Havasu City Airport during take-off. Upon arrival, a single-engine Cessna airplane was found to be fully engulfed in flames. The Lake Havasu City Fire Department responded and was able to extinguish the fire within a few minutes.

There are very few details available at this time, and there are no survivors as a result of this airplane crash. The number of occupants inside the Cessna airplane is still unknown.  The Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board have been notified and will be responding to the scene.
