On June 21, 2020 Lake Havasu City Police Department detectives responded to the Bullhead City Police Department to conduct an investigation into an in-custody death from suicide.  

Amber D. Fagundes, a 34-year old Bullhead City resident, was found by Bullhead City Police officers unresponsive in her holding cell with an item of clothing around her neck on June 21 shortly before 4:00 P.M. Fagundes was being temporarily held at the Bullhead City Police Department on charges of disorderly conduct, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. 

This is standard protocol for an outside agency to conduct an investigation when there is an in custody death or an officer involved shooting. The investigation is ongoing.
