INVESTIGATION LEADS TO DRUGS AND CHILD ABUSE ARRESTS

Over the past several months, Detectives with the Lake Havasu City Police Department’s Special Investigations Unit, which is part of the Mohave Area General Narcotics Enforcement Team (MAGNET), have been conducting an investigation on an individual selling illegal drugs in the Lake Havasu City area.

On December 3, 2020, at approximately 6:30 a.m., The Lake Havasu City Police Department’s SWAT team, along with Detectives with the Special Investigations Unit, Street Crimes Unit, and Criminal Investigations Unit, served a search warrant at a residence in the 3400 block of Thunderbird Dr.  During the search, a usable amount of methamphetamine, a usable amount of MDMA (Methylenedioxy-methamphetamine), numerous items of drug paraphernalia, several prescription pills, and 4 firearms were located.

At the time of the search warrant, a 3-month old child was located inside the residence, where he was found to be living in unsanitary conditions. Arizona Department of Child Services was notified of the incident, at which time they responded to the residence and custody of the 3-month old child was turned over to their agency.

As a result of the investigation, 28-year old Lake Havasu City resident Caleb Vance, was arrested for Possession of Dangerous Drugs, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Tampering with Physical Evidence, Child Abuse, and Weapons Misconduct. Caleb Vance is being held on a $20,000 cash only bond and transferred to the custody of the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office.

Kelley Vance, a 24-year old Lake Havasu City resident, was arrested for Possession of Dangerous Drugs, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Child Abuse, and Weapons Misconduct. Kelley Vance is being held on a $20,000 cash only bond and transferred to the custody of the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office.

Daniel Martinez, a 31-year old Lake Havasu City resident, was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia. Daniel Martinez was released on his own recognizance after his initial appearance.

Kristen Terrill, a 44-year old Lake Havasu City resident, was arrested for Possession of Dangerous Drugs, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Weapons Misconduct, and Possession of Prescription Only Drugs. Kristen Terrill is being held on a $10,000 cash only bond and transferred to the custody of the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office.
