Cypress Park is temporarily closed for overseeding from Monday, September 10 through Friday, October 19. The City appreciates the public’s patience and compliance of all posted signs by staying off the closed grass areas and fields to allow the grass to properly grow. The grass and fields are expected to reopen for public use and access on Saturday, October 20.

The benefits of overseeding Cypress Park include a reduction in erosion, improved appearance, increased thickness and a stronger turf, and a decreased need for chemicals to kill or ward off pests or weeds.

As always, pets are not permitted on the Cypress Park athletic fields and should remain on sidewalks when being walked through the park.
