AQUATIC EXERCISE CLASSES

The Aquatic Center offers a wide variety of water exercise classes from beginner to advanced. Whether you are just starting, or training for your first Ironman, we have something for everyone. Classes are $5 per class or you can purchase a Punch pass, which is $73.00 for 20 visits. Passes expire one year from the date of purchase. Always check with your physician before starting an exercise program.

The Arthritis Exercise Class is limited to 12 participants. Participants please let the cashier know when checking in you are here for Arthritis Exercise Class. Check in for Arthritis Class will begin no earlier than 30 minutes prior to class start time.

CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

Ai-Chi (Beginner)

A water movement and relaxation program that combines the movements of Tai Chi,
Qj Gong and Shiatsu while standing in shoulder depth water. It is an efficient exercise program that increases range of motion, balance, mobility and stress relief through breathing techniques.

Aqua Aerobics (Intermediate to Advanced)

Designed to help shape and tone your body as well as keep your heart rate up while working in both shallow and deep water.

Aqua Challenge (Intermediate)

Instructor’s choice. Waves may be run during this class.

Aqua Motion (Intermediate to Advanced)

Performed in deep water where participants are suspended at shoulder level with the use of aqua jogger belts and water weights.

Arthritis Exercise (Beginner)

Designed to improve range of motion, muscle strength and endurance while being conducted in warm water.

High Intensity (Intermediate to Advanced)

Designed to increase your heart rate while keeping cool in the water. This evening class, taught by Margie Snyder, will involve fast-moving exercises performed in shallow water.

Pregnant & Fit (Beginner)

A fun aqua workout, for moms-to-be, that will tone your body by using the water for resistance training. Additional benefits: you’re weightless when you’re in the water (PRICELESS!), and water workouts help reduce swelling.

Sit & Be Fit (Beginner)

Helps your balance, breathing and joint mobility by focusing on improving muscular strength, range of motion and endurance while exercises are performed in a seated or standing position.

Tai Chi (Beginner)

Utilizes proper breathing techniques, balance, strength development and stress relief.

Water Wellness (Beginner)

A less intense alternative to our Aqua Motion class, while still focusing on increasing range of motion, flexibility, strength and mild cardiovascular training.

Yoga (Beginner)

Helps develop better range of motion, flexibility and increases strength through a variety
of stretching movements.
