If you have any information about crimes or wanted criminals, please contact Havasu Silent Witness. We need your information, NOT YOUR NAME!

Upload Pictures, Documents, etc.

While Havasu Silent Witness works closely with the Lake Havasu City Police Department, it is a separate, autonomous, non-profit organization incorporated under the laws of the State of Arizona. The Internal Revenue Service has awarded the organization 501(c)(3) (tax-exempt donation) status. Havasu Silent Witness was started in 2000 by a group of volunteers for the purpose of providing citizens a method to report a crime, provide pertinent information about a crime, or report the location of a wanted fugitive while remaining anonymous.

In 2015, Havasu Silent Witness produced 159 tips resulting in 32 arrests by Lake Havasu City Police Department. We could not have done this without the help of citizens just like YOU who chose to get involved in the fight against crime.

Havasu Silent Witness collected $2,300 in donations in 2015. Some of these funds come from private tax deductible donations, and some are provided via fines collected by the Lake Havasu City Justice Court. Some of these funds are used to pay out reward money, but interestingly, many people who call Havasu Silent Witness don't even want a monetary reward for their information, just anonymity while providing valuable information to the law enforcement community.

Lake Havasu City is a wonderful place to live and raise our children. Havasu Silent Witness is dedicated to preserving that way of life by helping you to become directly involved while remaining completely anonymous.

The information displayed on this site is updated frequently. However, it is subject to change without notice. Reasonable efforts are taken to ensure that the information is current, accurate, and appropriate. Should you discover any inaccurate, misleading or otherwise inappropriate information on this site, please bring it to our attention as soon as possible.

HERE'S HOW REWARDS ARE PAID

Cash rewards are available if the information results in the apprehension of a fugitive, the arrest and prosecution of the suspect of a crime, or is of other significant benefit to law enforcement. The person calling Havasu Silent Witness will be given a Tip Number. This number becomes the caller's "name". Always use your Tip Number to identify yourself.Investigations take time, so you should wait a few weeks before calling back to ascertain if you are eligible to receive a reward. Remember to give only your Tip Number. It may take multiple calls to get that reward payment finalized. Once your eligibility for a reward is established, you will be given a Payout Number and instructions on how to pickup your reward at a local bank. It's a very simple and anonymous procedure!

TEXT-A-TIP

To text a tip to Lake Havasu Police Department, you must have text messaging enabled on your cellular phone and subscribe to a participating cell phone carrier. To begin your tip message, enter the number “274637” (which spells out the word CRIMES) in the phone number line. Then start your message with LHCPD (to ensure the tip is routed to the proper police department) and enter your tip with as much detail as possible.

Once you send your tip via text, the information is received by an independent party in service provider that will assign each tipster a random system-generated “alias.” The purpose of this is to ensure the anonymity of the tipster.

Tipsters will automatically receive a response text providing them their “alias.” Please be aware that the Lake Havasu Police Department will send a response text if more information is needed to process the tip.

However, the anonymity of the tipster remains secure because the information is sent to a third party service provider that is independent of the police department. The police department will only know the tipster by their “alias.”

If the tipster does not wish to participate in two-way communication with the police department they can text the word STOP to 274637 (CRIMES.) Doing so will block the Lake Havasu Police Department from responding.
