Junior Lifeguard Program
The Junior Lifeguard Program is open to participants between the ages of 10 – 15 years. Participants will meet on Wednesday evenings from 5:00 - 6:30 p.m. beginning January 25th through May 2nd at the Lake Havasu City Aquatic Center. Cost of the program is $75 per participant.
This season’s program is designed to teach a variety of water safety skills, along with the duties and responsibilities of being a lifeguard. Your learning experience will range from CPR and First Aid to improving swimming techniques and increased physical endurance. Junior Lifeguards will also be exposed to real life water park activities. This will consist of shadowing facility lifeguards while active programs are being run and assisting with teaching learn to swim programs. After participating in this program, and turning 15 years of age, you will be better prepared to enroll in a lifeguard certification class, if desired. The Junior Lifeguard Program will build a foundation of knowledge, attitude and skills utilized by certified lifeguards and water safe individuals.
We are looking forward to taking you on an experience you will NEVER forget. We are pleased that you are interested in our program and are anxious to show you fun and water safety activities that will be not only a learning experience but an exciting adventure for you.
