Information Technology “IT” plans, develops and manages the city technology strategy. IT is responsible for city infrastructure, supporting applications and working on technology needs that align with the city’s strategic plan.

Lake Havasu City Information Technology has multiple divisions to support the city’s technological needs. Computer Operation, Infrastructure, and Applications Support are the three primary divisions within IT.

Computer Operations provides hardware and software support for desktop, mobile devices and telecommunications. The computer operations teams supports all city departments including, City Administration departments, Recreation, Airport, Public Works, Police and Fire.

Infrastructure supports all city networking and server infrastructure. These services include data center operations, network support, administration and design, fiber optics support, wireless, internet, telecommunications infrastructure and software, data storage, VMware infrastructure, and all security and disaster recovery infrastructure.

Applications Support provides services to develop implement and maintain city purchased or developed software. The applications team supports mobile systems, web and client based applications. They provide business analyst support and project oversite of all application implementations. Additionally, the applications team provide database support and development for city-hosted systems.
