BACKGROUND/HISTORY
Lake Havasu City owns an approximately 1.5-acre parcel of land in the downtown area located at the corner of McCulloch Boulevard and Querio Drive. This location was purchased by the City in 2017 as the location for a Downtown Catalyst Project. The Downtown Catalyst Project was identified as part of the City’s Vision 20/20 Plan. This plan was a major contributing factor to the city winning second place in the Frontier Communications America’s Best Communities (ABC) competition.
The city hired Dig Studios to design the park and ultimately produce a set of plans and specs for bidding purposes. The first go-around two bids were received that were beyond budget availability and the project was re-evaluated through a value-engineering process and sent back out to bid.
This project has been awarded to Concord General Contracting, Inc. out of Mesa, AZ.
