August 06, 2025

On July 30, 2025, at approximately 11:37 p.m., officers from the Lake Havasu City Police Department were dispatched to the 800 block of Chalon Drive in response to a reported stabbing.

Initial reports indicated that a verbal altercation occurred between two male subjects regarding trading cards. The argument escalated into a physical confrontation, during which one of the individuals was stabbed multiple times. The suspect fled the scene before law enforcement arrived.

Upon officers’ arrival, they located a male victim suffering from multiple significant stab wounds. The victim was transported to Havasu Regional Medical Center, where he received medical treatment. His injuries were determined to be serious but not life-threatening.

During the course of the investigation, the suspect was identified as 46-year-old Jason Jumper, a resident of Lake Havasu City. Officers received information that Jason may have returned to a residence in the 800 block of Lakeland Drive. A perimeter was established around the home while officers awaited the issuance of a search warrant. While officers maintained the perimeter, Jason exited the residence voluntarily and was taken into custody without incident.

Jason Jumper is facing several charges, including attempted second-degree homicide, aggravated assault, disorderly conduct involving a weapon, and three failure-to-appear warrants. Following his initial court appearance on the warrants, he was held on a $15,000 cash-only bond. After the initial appearance on the felony charges, he was also held on a $100,000 cash-only bond and transferred into the custody of the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office Detention Center
