At approximately 5:30 a.m. on Sunday, July 2, 2023, a Lake Havasu City Fire Department engine company responded to a commercial fire alarm at a storage unit facility on the 2100 block of College Street.  The engine company arrived to discover smoke coming from several units within the property along with the fire alarm system activated and water coming from multiple units.  The engine company upgraded the alarm to a commercial assignment. 

Three Engine Companies, one Truck Company, and a Battalion Chief responded to the fire and gained control of the fire in 15 minutes.  There were no reported injuries to the firefighters. Crews remained on the scene an additional two hours conducting salvage operations. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
