CONTINUANCE REQUESTED FOR WATERFRONT LAND USE ITEMS

The representative for The Waterfront development requested a continuance for the public hearings originally scheduled for the Lake Havasu City Planning & Zoning Commission meeting on Wednesday, November 5, 2025.

As a result, City staff will not be making a presentation, and the Commission will not take action on these items at that meeting. The continuance allows the applicant additional time to further prepare materials for review and ensures the public has a clear opportunity to participate once the hearings are ready to proceed.

The requests are scheduled to return to the Planning & Zoning Commission for public hearings on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at 9:00 a.m. in the Lake Havasu City Council Chambers, located at 92 Acoma Boulevard South. These hearings will be re-noticed in accordance with City Code, and all interested community members are encouraged to attend or follow the meeting online.

The requests pertain to a property described as metes and bounds, parcel number 107-15-015, located at 1040 McCulloch Boulevard North (the former Island Golf Course). Case PZ2025-00111 is a request for a Major General Plan Amendment on approximately 90.5 acres of vacant land, seeking to change the General Plan Land Use Map classification from Open Space and Park (OSP) to Resort-Related Island, Resort-Residential, and Commercial Mixed-Use. Case PZ2025-00112 is a request for a Planned Development Rezone of approximately 90.5 acres of vacant land from Golf Course (GC) District to Island-Body Beach/Planned Development (I-B/PD) District to accommodate a proposed master-planned community featuring resort, residential, and commercial uses.
