FATAL CRASH INVESTIGATION
December 23, 2025

On December 22, 2025, at approximately 5:22 p.m., officers from the Lake Havasu City Police Department responded to a report of a single-vehicle collision in the 2900 block of Osborn Drive. The call indicated a Polaris RZR had struck a building and that a male subject was unconscious on the sidewalk.

Upon arrival, officers located an adult male, later identified as the driver of the Polaris RZR, who had been ejected from the vehicle and was unresponsive. The driver was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Preliminary investigation indicates the 2022 Polaris RZR was traveling westbound on Osborn Drive at a high rate of speed when the driver lost control, causing the vehicle to roll multiple times.

The driver was identified as Leonard Hancock, a 54-year-old resident of Lake Havasu City. No other injuries were reported.

The investigation remains ongoing; however, initial findings indicate that speed and alcohol are suspected factors in the collision. Additional information will be released as it becomes available.
