On November 24, 2023, at approximately 3:50 p.m. Officers with the Lake Havasu City Police Department responded to the 6500 block of Showplace Avenue for a reported intoxicated driver operating a white Kia sedan vehicle. Officers located a parked vehicle matching the description and observed a male, later identified as 34-year-old Lake Havasu City resident Kevin Ellingburgh, exit the vehicle.
Officers contacted Ellingburgh, and subsequently arrested him for Driving Under the Influence and a Mohave County Superior Court warrant. As a result of the DUI investigation, Ellingburgh was also found to be in possession of narcotic drugs, drug paraphernalia, and fraudulent documents.
Detectives from the Lake Havasu City Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Unit were called to assist in the investigation. A search warrant was conducted on the white Kia sedan and during the search, several fraudulent U.S. Savings Bonds, blank U.S. Savings Bond documents, and printers and ink were located.
As a result, Kevin Ellingburgh was arrested for Driving under the Influence, Possession of Narcotic Drugs, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Identify theft, False Information to Law Enforcement, Mohave County Superior Court warrant, Fraudulent Schemes, and 14 counts of Forgery.
Kevin Ellingburgh was held on a $15,000.00 cash only bond for the initial arrest charges and transferred to the custody of the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office. Ellingburgh is awaiting his initial appearance for the Fraudulent Schemes and Forgery Charges.
