The Lake Havasu City Police Department has released its Memorial Day Holiday weekend statistics from Friday, May 26 to Monday, May 29, 2023.

In total, the Lake Havasu City Police Department received 866 calls for service and made a total of 80 arrests. 60 of which were booked into the LHCPD jail, 18 were cited and released, and 2 were juveniles who were referred and released. 14 of these arrests were felony in nature. A total of 147 reports were completed.

During holiday weekends in Lake Havasu City, traffic safety is of utmost importance and concern. The LHCPD provided enhanced traffic and DUI enforcement from a grant awarded by the Governor’s Office of Highway Safety. During this year’s holiday weekend, a total of 22 DUI offenders were arrested, 7 of which were aggravated (felony) in nature. A total of 324 drivers were contacted during civil traffic stops with 102 traffic citations issued.
