At approximately 1:30 pm on Sunday, March 15, 2026, a fire was reported by yard maintenance personnel working in the 10 block of Torrito Lane. The workers discovered smoke and flames at the rear of the residence, as well as smoke coming from the eaves. The first arriving fire company reported the same information and prepared for fire attack and a search of the residence. Four engine companies, a medic unit, and a Battalion Chief responded to the fire and gained control in approximately 13 minutes. Nobody was home at the time of the fire, and no injuries were reported.
LHCFD CERT responded with 11 members to the fire to assist with firefighter rehab. The Desert Hills Fire Department moved up to Lake Havasu City to assist with other 911 calls during the incident. Crews remained on the scene an additional hour and 10 minutes, conducting salvage and overhaul operations. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
