NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING FOR THE PURPOSE OF ESTABLISHING FEES

Pursuant to A.R.S. § 9-499.15, notice is given that the City Council of Lake Havasu City, Arizona, will hold a Public Hearing for the purpose of establishing fees for Lake Havasu City Transit Services. The hearing will be held on Tuesday, May 25, 2021, at 6:00 p.m. or as soon thereafter as same may be heard, at the Lake Havasu City Police Facility, 2360 McCulloch Blvd. N., Lake Havasu City, AZ 86403.

Report on all proposed fees are available at the City Clerk’s Office, 2330 McCulloch Blvd. N., Lake Havasu City, AZ 86403 during the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday..

NOTICE OF PROPOSED FEE CHANGES - TRANSIT FARES

The City undergoes a review of fees and charges as required by Chapter 3.20 of the City Code. During the process, departments review their fee schedules and evaluate the need for new services as the citizens’ needs and desires change. New fees are added as services are identified. Transit is transitioning to a new system made up of a Fixed Route, Paratransit-ADA Certified Riders Program and a Micro Transit system or OnDemand service. A Market Study was performed by City staff, gathering information from various agencies. The Fares were reviewed and proposed rates were established.

The schedule of fees and charges will be presented to the Mayor and Council for approval on or about May 25, 2021. If approved, the fees are added to the City's fee schedule and posted on the City website and available at the City Clerk’s Office for viewing. The proposed fees are scheduled to go into effect on July 1, 2021, after all posting requirements are met.

In accordance with City Code Chapter 3.20 Fees and Service Charge Revenue/Cost Comparison & Charging System, the following service center(s) fees/charges are proposed. City Council shall consider adoption of Ordinance No. 18-1204 adjusting these proposed fees on November 26, 2019 at 6:00 p.m. or as soon therefter as same may be heard, at the Lake Havasu City Police Facility, 2360 McCulloch Blvd. N., Lake Havasu City, AZ 86403

Annually, the City undergoes a review of fees and charges as required by Chapter 3.20 of the City Code.  During the process, departments review their fee schedules and evaluate the need for new services as the citizens’ needs and desires change.  New fees are added as services are identified.

The schedule of fees and charges is presented to the Mayor and Council for approval.  Once approved, the fees are posted on the City website and available at the City Clerk’s Office for viewing.  The fees go into effect 90 days after all posting requirements are met.
