Banana Yucca
BANANA YUCCA
Yucca baccata

Banana Yucca is a desert dweller and more drought tolerant than many mesic yucca species. It produces many large banana-like fruit (which are edible), and this is where it acquires its common name. Although this plant technically does not have actual thorns, it is listed as having thorns due to its stiff, sharply pointed leaves which can puncture skin like thorns.
