Brewers Saltbush
BREWER'S SALTBUSH
Atriplex lentiformis breweri

Brewer’s Saltbush is not the most showy plant, but it can survive in poor conditions with full sun and poor soil. All of the plant is edible (known for its salty taste), and therefore, it is recommended to cage the plant until it is above rabbit height. This shrub is a great addition if you love bird watching as it attracts birds such as Quail and Thrasher. It also serves as a host plant to the Saltbush Sootywing and Pygmy Blue Butterfly.
