California poppy is a plant of the poppy family and located in the southwestern United States and northern Mexico. California poppies are annual plants with feathery gray-green foliage. These flowers open in the sunlight and produce narrow capsule. The round black or brown seeds can grow in soil seed banks until growing conditions are favorable.
