One of the more popular desert accent plants, Desert Milkweed is loved not only for its appearance, but also for its ability to attract butterflies. This is one of the most important plants for Monarch Butterflies as Milkweed (Asclepias) in general, is the only plant that Monarchs will lay their eggs on. This plant provides the sustenance the caterpillars need until the morph into adult Monarchs. It is also known to attract Striated Queen Butterflies.
