Dwarf Coyote Bush
DWARF COYOTE BRUSH
Baccharis pilularis 'Pigeon Point'

Dwarf Coyote Brush has an exceptionally prostate growth habit, and is an excellent groundcover choice for erosion control and slope stabilization. Plant about 6 to 8 feet apart to create a solid cover within about two years. If planted any closer together, this groundcover will bulk up, and you will end up with a taller planting.

MORE COMMENTS
Thorns: No
Allergies: Moderately allergenic
In late winter it can be sheared to make it denser or to renew an older planting. Keep an eye out for spider mite infestations which can cause leaf drop and a periodic overhead spray to wash dust from the leaf surfaces might help with this pest and will make a planting look fresher as well. One can anticipate having plantings of this cultivar remain attractive for at least 10 years or longer if rejuvenated.
