Nevada Jointfir
NEVADA JOINTFIR
Ephedra nevadensis

Nevada Jointfir is extremely similar to Mormon Tea in appearance, however, its native habitat and historic range is slightly different than Mormon Tea, and it also has more of a sprawling habit. However, just like Mormon Tea, Native Americans and Mexicans historically made a tea out of it for bronchial dilation. Ephedra contains caffeine and small amounts of the drug ephedrine, which has been used in decongestants for colds and as a stimulant.
