Tecoma Stans, or Yellow Trumpet Flower, has many different cultivars and hybrids with varying flower colors. Sunrise Tecoma is a free flowing hybrid with copper colored flower buds opening to a two-toned copper and yellow flower. One of the most aesthetically pleasing shrubs on this list, this flowering beauty is known to attract butterflies, hummingbirds, and bees. Makes a great hedge or screen.

Tecoma species have long been known and used by native Americans of the Southwest and Mexico for bowmaking, bee fodder and medicines. It is considered an invasive plant in south Florida and Hawaii. Prune hard in the winter to control height and stiffen upright character. Susceptible to root rot.
