The Parks and Recreation Department provides residents and visitors with several ways to get out and enjoy Lake Havasu City.  Whether you are looking to enjoy some time at one of our many parks, participate in one of our offered programs, or even go for a swim at the Aquatic Center, Parks and Recreation has something for everyone!  Please click on one of the topics above to find out what fun Parks and Recreation has in store for you.

ADULT PROGRAMS


DOG SWIM

The Aquatic Center has gone to the dogs. Join us on Sunday, December 1st from 10 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. for our Dog Swim. Friendly dogs only please. Cost is $4 per dog. Dogs only will be allowed in the water; owners may wade up to their ankles. Owners will be responsible for cleaning up after their dogs. Immediately following the Dog Swim, the Aquatic Center will be closed for annual cleaning and maintenance. Facility will re-open Monday, December 16th.

COMMUNITY DINNER

The annual free Community Dinner will be held on Friday, December 13th at the Aquatic Center in the Relics and Rods Hall. Dinner is free of charge and everyone is welcome. LITTLE DELBERT DAYS

Little Delbert Days will be held at SARA Park Fairgrounds on Saturday, January 25th and Sunday, January 26th. Little Delbert Days activities include: king of the hill, roping area, bounce houses, peddle tractor races and so much more. Registration will be accepted at the Fairground on Saturday morning for those interested in riding sheep or calves.

YOUTH PROGRAMS


CHILDREN'S CELEBRATION

The Children’s Celebration will take place on December 14th from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. on the ball fields at Rotary Community Park. Arts & crafts, inflatables, visit with Santa and free refreshments will be available. Donations are needed! You can contact Sarah Ross at Parks and Recreation for additional information.

GINGERBREAD HOUSE DECORATING NIGHT

Join us on Tuesday, December 17th from 5:30 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. for an evening of decorating gingerbread houses with your favorite candies and trimmings. Participants must be at least 5 years old. All participants must be accompanied by an adult. Registration begins on Tuesday, November 12th. Space is limited and the deadline to register is December 5th. Cost is $15.00 per participant.

THE POLAR EXPRESS SWIM-N-MOVIE NIGHT

Put on your swimsuit and join us for a fun night of popcorn, hot cocoa and a showing of The Polar Express while floating in the pool! Event will be held on December 20th from 6:00 p.m.- 8:30 p.m. Movie showing starts at 6:30 p.m. $4 per person includes popcorn and hot cocoa. Ages 3 and under free with paid adult.
