KEEPING HAVASU SAFE
Safety starts with education. The Lake Havasu City Police Department is taking a proactive, community-focused approach to traffic safety through school education, neighborhood engagement, and targeted enforcement. From Police Service Assistants and Citizens on Patrol to traffic officers and school resource officers, staff and volunteers are working every day to educate residents—especially our youth—on bicycle and e-bike laws, safety expectations, and shared responsibility on our streets. In 2025 alone, more than 4,700 students received bicycle and e-bike safety education, and that effort is continuing in 2026 with expanded follow-up programs and increased officer visibility, including patrols on e-bikes. Watch to learn how education, awareness, and smart enforcement are helping create safer streets for everyone in Lake Havasu City.
