The Lake Havasu City Youth Court was established in June 2013. The Lake Havasu City Youth Court Program is for juveniles that have been involved in Status Offenses such as Truancy, Curfew Violation, Possession of Tobacco and Minor Possession / Consumption of Alcohol to participate in a program that is focused on early intervention. Through individual and family based educational classes, the youth and their family are introduced to skills to help resist peer pressure and create healthy communication through counseling, community restitution and community resources. The average participation time is 3 to 12 months.
