The Lake Havasu City Police Department received a Silent Witness Tip late Wednesday evening August 30, 2017, related to several videos posted on social media alleging inappropriate communication between an adult male and a juvenile male in Lake Havasu City.

The Lake Havasu City Police Department Criminal Investigations Unit immediately began looking into the allegations, conducting further investigation and gathering additional information. On August 31, 2017, at approximately 5:50 p.m., members of the Criminal and Special Investigations Units served a search warrant in the 3500 block of Red Cloud Drive. During the service of the search warrant, a small amount of methamphetamine, steroids, and marijuana were located along with drug paraphernalia. Electronic media was also seized during the warrant and is pending forensic computer analysis. 

Arrested as a result of the investigation was 39-year old Lake Havasu City resident Jeremy J. Laska. Laska was charged with luring a minor for sexual exploitation, two counts of possession of dangerous drugs, three counts of possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of drugs in a school zone. During his initial appearance on September 1, 2017, Laska was held on $150,000 cash only bond and transferred to the custody of the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office.

The videos were posted anonymously under the social media tag “Creep Catchers Havasu.”  The Lake Havasu City Police Department would like to have the person who recorded the videos contact the police department to provide additional information about the videos. Laska lived in close proximity to Oro Grande Elementary School and officials at the school have been notified of the investigation and arrest.
